Welcome to the website of New Beginnings Childcare. We are based in Moorside near Consett in County Durham.
New Beginnings (Moorside) aims to provide a secure, stimulating and caring environment that is welcoming and will encourage children to develop to their full potential.
We are committed to providing the highest standards of care in a comfortable atmosphere while actively promoting equal opportunities and continuing to provide effective learning and opportunities for all children.
New Beginnings childcare is where children can discover, achieve and express themselves through play and where parents or carers can feel confident to leave their child in safe and secure environment.

New Beginnings nursery is where children can discover, achieve and express themselves through play and where mothers/fathers or carers can feel confident to leave their child in safety.
We recognise that a child’s first impressions of the world begin at home and it is therefore vital that both the nursery and parents work together. Parents are encouraged to share their ideas with us to help shape and mould the service we provide.
What Makes Us So Special
We are very lucky to have a large outdoor play area, which you will not find in many neighbouring day care nurseries, we encourage the children to play out and experience all weathers. (we provide suitable clothing for your children).
SPRING
In the spring months we enjoy planting vegetables in our little vegetable patch and watching them grow, plus we love to go out in the rain and jump in the puddles.
SUMMER
In the Summer months we enjoy lovely picnics in the garden and splashing in our pirate ship paddling pool
AUTUMN
In the Autumn months we collect the leaves from the trees and enjoy throwing them in the air watching the wind blow them away.
WINTER
In the winter months we make big snow men and snow angels. We also enjoy snow painting making the snow lots of pretty colours – why should the snow be white?
Opening Hours
Our Nursery is open all year round (except weekends, bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year)
We are open from 7.45am till 6pm, Monday to Friday
We offer a variety of sessions, including term time only places with only a 30% retainer payment for the 13weeks the child will be absent from the setting.
We offer 2year Play and Learn provision and offer 3yr education sessions.
We offer an afterschool club for 4-8years children from 3pm till 6pm (includes a full cooked dinner and pudding), we will only collect from the following schools:
